The odometer on my 2014 Expedition recently rolled to 200,000 miles. I love this vehicle and want to make it to 300,000 miles. What preventive maintenance would you suggest to help me get there? Also, suggestions for epic road trips on the East Coast to rack up the mileage are welcome. Recent work completed (and scheduled soon) includes replacing spark plugs and ignition coils, new tires, oil change, ball joint and control arm replacement. What else should I be considering at this point?

Rear (and front if equipped) differential fluid change.

Transmission fluid and filter change (not flush).

Engine air filter.

Engine PCV valve.

Engine coolant change.

Do you camp....hotels.....motels....big city interest.....small city interest.....beaches.....mountains.....?????
We have traveled with motorhomes and now travel trailer to 45 of the lower 48 states, Alaska, Canada and allover/along the east coast from Fla to Maine.....what specifically are you looking for ????
East coast....Charleston SC, Brunswick Ga, Wilmington NC, Delaware coastline, Cape Hatteras, anywhere along the Maine coastline.....gave up on Fla many many years ago...lived there and moved in 1996 and haven't been back since.....
And, flush your brake fluid.....

When mine crossed 200k miles, I had all the wheel bearings checked front needed changing), check rad all the CV joints for free play and the suspension ball joints. I changed all the fluids, transmission, transfer case, differentials (front & rear), the brake fluid and coolant, got the AC recharged and that was it. That was 50k miles ago and everything still runs great, changing the wheel bearings really quietened down the noise from the front of the car.

Transmission fluid has been on my mind but I hear so many people saying not to do it that I'm not sure. PCV valve wasn't even on my radar, so thanks for that. Differential and coolant will definitely be added to the list. Thanks for the helpful suggestions!

Camping, hotels, motels, beaches, mountains are all good. Cities not so much. It sounds like you've had some good adventures. I have said I need to visit Maine, but haven't made it there yet, so maybe I need to start planning that trip. I'm in agreement about Florida. It was fine to go there and visit my parents, but now that they moved back further North I don't feel any need to go sweating my brains out in gator country. I forgot to mention the brake fluid had been done not too long ago. Thanks for the reply!

I'm glad to hear that you have had an uneventful 50k miles with everything still going great. Thanks for your suggestions and reply.

At approximately 192k mile I got the timing chain replaced, valves walnut blasted, front and rear differential’s serviced, brake fluid flushed, and transmission serviced.
