Angel, sit down and ask yourself what you want your truck to look like. From there, write it down and prioritize the list. Go after #1 and then #2. You may find that you just don't like the body style and you need to first get a new truck. We all have different wants from our truck. Some look at my truck and go "that is completely impractical". While others look at my truck and go "that is a great truck, very capable". It is all in what you want/need. Give me an idea of what you want from the truck and that will help me possibly give you some ideas of what you can do. I have done a lot to my truck. Even had karaoke in it for awhile. The only limitation is what you can't dream up.

I would drive to the florida keys and pick SG & Solismo along the way and sip rum runners on the ocean and then figure what I would like to do to my truck....

Are you saying you have $10k to burn, are single and from Texas? :D

But seriously, everything depreciates and your X has already taken a hit. If you buy a newer one it's just gonna burn through that $10k in depreciation and you'll be back to the same question before long.

Just my 2 cents as a relocated Texan.

Looks like u have already done a lot to your expy,So that being the case If I had an extra 10k I would use it for debt reduction, which should help the cash flow and free up money for other things, avoid debt anyway u can because u r servant to the lender. just my 2cents worth.

For me, if I had $10K, I would be running out to the local auto place, trading in my Jaguar X-Type, and picking me up a Lotus Elise (possibly a Jaguar XJR or XK) and then have a toy car to play with. what can I say, I am enjoying my first retirement stage of life and now have the ability to buy some nice toys and also spoil the grandkids rotten.

yes, I am going to end up retiring twice. I retired the first time at 38. next one is going to occur about 60. that is when I will truely retire. Probably have a nice RV at that point and will join the 40/400 club and see what I can find.

Most of you know that I am always tinkering with something. I can not sit still and do nothing. so, that first retirement was a very short lived thing. Now I am working because I want to. Granted, working at a nuclear power plant, it funds a lot of fun.

Rize 8" lift if there are any left. Wheels and tires and get my "guide wire" damage fixed. Also, new leather for all the seats

If you got $10k dollars , what would you do to your expy or would you just buy a newer one...

Well...... I already spent that and more just this past year on the expy.

Built motor with forged steel crank, manley H beam rods, Manley forged 18cc dish pistons, ARP main and head studs, list goes on....

Trick flow track heat heads and 102500 comp cams.

Supporting hardware for lightning blower assembly that I already had.

All new dual 3" stainless custom exhaust with high flow cats.

Built my 4R100 with turbo diesel internals and beefed up clutches etc.. and modified valve body.

2200 stall converter

Also installed new slotted drilled rotors and pmt upper and lower rear control arms.

New stereo, speakers, subwoofer and amp.

Its insane how much I put into it in a years time. :goofy_batman:
Have not added up the reciepts...dont really want to know. Sure its well over the 10k mark.

Just recently I installed new tires. Went with Goodyear 265/70r16 aquatreads. Great for the street...little concerned with off road capability but it really only sees the beach in Avon, NC. Hopefully they are sufficient there.

.... What would I do now??

1) Whipple 2.3 with supporting fuel mods.
2) 3.73's or 4.10 gears.
3) Larger 3" high flow cats to quite the exhaust down more.
4) Paint job!
