Great pictures. Looks like you had a great time. Knowing the time of year, I'm guessing it was still a bit chilly out...

and this is why shes ugly, but hell i was out wheeling with lifted jeeps with it and went where they did, till one snaped an axle and they called it a day, i stayed for some photo opps, def not afraid to at least try any thing with this, like i said there was one hill i could not get up, but niether could one of the lifted jeeps, i found a new line got up it spun around and came down where i couldnt get up, i loved it, and didnt even bust anything up to bad, but realized i really need to get some 35s or 36s at least 10 wide, 9s worked great but kept all the mud in the wells

cant wait to see what she looks like. i am still in the hood hunting business. cant seem to find any less than 500 shipped. dont really wanna spend that much. so if you guys come across a cowl hood, let me know. i miss my 10 wide tires. i got them in the garage. 16x10 with toyo open country A/T. i want to find some mudders to fit those rims so when i go hit the thicker mud, i can just swap out rims/tires. i will post up pics of what she looked like with the other rims and tires when i find my external.

Gotta say dgray, from where you started to where you're at now is incredible. Can't wait to see you and Wingnut's new modes.

niether can i couse then i get my lights, rims, and other neat stuff for my truck, its great having freinds with show trucks, hehe, i get the hand me downs cheap, thinking i might scoop the hood to tie in with cold air intake though, not sure yet, and all metal is sitting on the rack for the lift kit that i am going to try to fab, still doing mesurements and debating how far i want to go with this, and if i will be able to get springs for rear to match the bridge im building for the front, still have alot to figure out, thinking 8 or 10 inch though, im going to cut out a replica from wood first then get mesurements on every thing, and that will give me a guide as i build this.
I guess the wingnut thing is gonna stick, haha

well the plan is to try to build my own lift kit, im getting more in to doing the fabrication thing so why not, i figure a 6 inch lift is about 100$ worth of metal, and a few grand worth labor, i have the welders, benders, plasma cutter, torches, so why not at least try, worst that can happen is ill have one big a$$ paper weight right. just going to mess with it a little to see what i can come up with, ive down loaded pics of about 10 different kits, so i have something to go off, like i said if it dont work at least i tried, and in process built up my fab skills some, thinking between 6 inches and 10, but im doing this in my spare time so it wont be on this summer. unless i end up with alot of time off and have very little school work. and i dont see that happening. i may post pics as it gets closer to looking like a lift bridge, sure wish i didnt have to deal with them torsion bars, but im not ready to chop it to go straight axle yet, maybe after some of my bigger bills are gone that will happen, might even go with a 4 link rear, and 2.5 air shocks hmmmmm nice day got my skid plate cut out today and installed 3/8 stainless, should hold up pretty well, we will see

yeah, if i had the time, tools, and space to practice fabing, i would too. i want to sas the expy but i think i might do the same setup walnuts has on this one, and buy another one and sas that one. cuz then i will have one that i can just tear apart and take my time with. this one is my daily driver as well so i can only do big things in spurts.

just cut the stainless out with a sawsall and ground down edges, just a little wider at the bumper than at the cross member,, find an old street sign, thats what we use to use, they work great there galvinized just not as thick as this, and personally i thought this looked really bad, it may come of, ill do another one, and a buddy of mine has a lazer cuttier, i may have him cut out 01EXPY right in the center of it, just for looks
