Nope, don't want it

What the Hyundai-Kia is that thing?!

The Gators look pretty solid, though, might pick one up used after a few years. Although I'm not entirely sold on that weird strip (light bar? what is that thing?) down the middle of the grille.

Not sure what you mean. The all new Expedition is in production and you can build one online.

The expedition production has started months ago. No news from ford about them being shipped and why not, it's mainly just speculation and some insider knowledge. Even during the auto show circuit there weren't many videos, some but not many. Some buyers who ordered had their trucks built late Jan or Feb, but still have no word on their truck. I'm all for ford trying to increase quality on there truck, I just think they shouldve put out a statement or be flooding the market with advertising and product promotion while we wait. Im Just being impatient, I'm not making a purchase for awhile anyway.

Got the dreaded email yesterday that while they have "made great progress in the production of my vehicle" they are experiencing a delay. Has been in "Being Built" status for 2 weeks now and now the delay email. Probably a part supplier dropping the ball is my guess.

I am in the same position. Been in production for 3 weeks now ( Last tracker update March 2) for our Platinum Ultimate. Got the “we’re sorry about the delay” email last week… Not really sure what’s happening? Any inside info. from someone at Ford plant?

It appears that none of them have been shipped yet. I haven’t come across any detailed information about it. I’m actually relieved that they haven’t finished and shipped mine yet, as I’d prefer to receive it in May rather than March. However, I still want to see one and am curious what is cause the delay.

For now, all we can do is speculate unless someone can provide some concrete information.

Whats weird is that eere hearing that both expys and navs are being put on trucks and leaving the holding lot, but still don't see them at any dealers yet. Where are they going?

I'll remind you all that when Ford started building the 2020 Explorer, all of the production from Chicago Assembly was loaded onto trucks and shipped to the Detroit area where the vehicles sat in parking lots as Ford addressed various issues with the new models. I'm not saying that's what's happening here, but this looks to me like Ford either has a parts supply problem for the 2025 Expeditions or they aren't going together on the assembly line the way that the engineers envisioned.

Patience.

I believe this is the case as well. I don't actually want/need the car until early August for when we plan on doing a road trip with it. I'm most curious about what they might be struggling with. I'd much rather them take their time with getting it right than anything else.

My dealer looked mine up and said it was pulled from the line for "Quality Control" whatever that may be defined as. It went into production on 3/3 and was pulled 3/11.

More than likely it will show up with a few more miles than normal, assuming it met all their standards.

Could the delay be caused by the 5,300 unsold new 2024 Ford Expeditions laying around.....
Unlikely. Dealers are selling leftovers $10-15,000 below list. New ones hitting dealers will not effect people buying a leftover at a big discount. I have decades of experience watching this phenomenon play out.
