Will a Double Din Fit?

Crutchfield is telling me that a double din receiver won't fit in my 2001 expy. To me, the opening looks a little on the small side so I can see that but are there any mod kits or other receivers that are bigger than a single din that would work well? Any help or recommendations would be great!

There are kits, and you will have to cut it. Search here and google.

Pretty detailed link to show exactly what is involved, had one put in my 2000 a couple mos ago and it looks like it was always there. You also need a $20 Metra faceplate kit, and a wiring harness adapter.
