Wind noise on Driver's Side window

My wife and I noticed that on our 2007 EL that we just bought, there is quite a bit of wind noise at the top of the driver's side window at highway speeds. It looks like everything is flush and the window goes up and down properly. We don't notice it on the passenger's side.

Thoughts?

I've had the same problem with my '07 EL since day one. Dealer could never seem to hear any problem... of course.

I've been meaning to do the mod in this thread and see if it helps, but I haven't gotten around to it. Let me know if you do...

Depending on when yours was built, there was a TSB on this 07-16-15.
Had to due with the mirrors being the issue.

If you can't find the TSB, shoot me a PM and I will send it to you.

i have the same problem. its $130 ish for a new door seal from ford

If you follow that link I posted above, you shouldn't need a new seal.

Recently I noticed my drivers side door handle was not being retracted back into the handle housing. While driving 75, I rolled down the window and pressed the handle back into the housing. Rolled the window up, and to my amazement my wind noise stopped. I believe the door handle sticking out slightly was catching enough wind to make mine sound like it was coming from the front side of the drivers window.
I also tried the weatherstripping mod. Did not do so well for me. I got the tubing inside the weatherstripping, back on the door and the door was too tight. I had to slam the hell out it to shut it. Ultimately, the tubing ruined my weatherstripping and had to buy a new one. I bought this from amazon - 50 Feet Black Rubber Latex Tubing 3/8"OD 1/4"ID. I guess I need a new handle.

That's a bummer about the weather stripping mod... crossing that one off my list now! =(
