I have been searching and searching and am unable to find a solution to my issue.

I have a 2015 Expedition EL, my window regulator crapped out on me when the cable snapped the other day. I was able to replace the window regulator and get everything connected again.

However, now I am having an issue where when I roll up my window it fully closes and then automatically opens back up about half way. This happens when using the "auto-up" feature and with just holding the window up switch.

I have tried multiple methods (multiple youtube videos, multiple forums with various instructions) to try and reinitialize the window motor but I am unable to correct this issue. Still whenever the window reaches full close, it automatically opens again.

Any ideas here?

Edit:
Forgot to mention that this is the Front Driver's window.

Have you tried holding it in the up position for five seconds and then holding it down for five seconds to relearn?

I have tried that, when holding the switch in the up position the window still opens automatically. Still I held the button for the 5 seconds just in case but no luck there.

I tried all that but it still goes up to within 3" and I have to hit it again to get it all the way up and it goes down fine which I can't complain too much about.

Have you tried to de-initialize before initializing? This video has it for a Navigator. Should be the same except Expedition is driver side only

It works now and the continuous motion part doesn't but it's good enough. These cars are really weird nowadays and thanks again.

Well I feel a bit like I got thread jacked. But I'm glad 07navi got his issue resolved. However I have a 2015 with keyless push button startup. The process is different, but yes I was able to de-initialize the window motor by pulling the fuse while the window was in motion.

Unfortunately I am still not able to get my window working correctly. It always goes up and hits the top of the seal then bounces back down.

Try holding the button up for 5 +- seconds after it goes all the way up (if it will) and then the same when all the way down.

I replied to another thread a while back and posted the complete procedure from the factory manual. But, I do believe that was for earlier models. I don't know if the procedure changed for 2015-17.

Gave this a try a couple of times, no luck.

It should work about the same on push button as key. 2 presses of the button (without the brake pedal pressed) bring you to run
Different process but similar concept as the TPMS discussion Loki posted here comparing the standard key to the IA system https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/tire-pressure-monitoring.37358/page-4#post-322752
I will try this to see if I can get this to work. Currently I am still having the same issue as I originally posted.
