Does anyone know the factory smoke tint darkness on the 19 expedition.
Louisiana finally got with the rest of the world and lowered their tint laws to 25% and my wife wants to tint front doors but not rest of truck just wanting to see if I did 25 it wouldn't be noticeably darker than rest of windows.

If I remember right our 2019 metered at 18%. We did 20% and you can’t tell the difference front to back.

Depending on brand and other factors (ceramic, etc.), it's pretty much 20%. Every truck I've tinted to match the rears has pretty much been this.

Ok thanks I just didn't want the fronts to be darker than the back and have to wait for another appointment for the rest. Lol.

I recently had my fronts done, to match the factory tint on the rest of truck. The shop used an optical meter on the back windows to determine which tint they were installing on the fronts. I don’t recall the %, but it matched perfectly.

My 2019 Platinum has a very dark back and 2nd row seat factory tint. I tinted the front with Llumar 35. Tinted the windshield and panoramic roof with Llumar Air Blue 80

I wouldn't mind doing the windshield clear but we have inspection stickers here and they use a scraper to get them off. Don't think that'd go to well. Lol

Lucky for us, they did away with inspections decades ago.
But Clear Blue 80 is so clear, you can't see it on the windshield at all. But it really does away with the heat and glare.

I put my TX registration sticker on a cling material (similar to an oil change sticker) and place it on the windshield. It comes off easily.

You get to put your own on. Ours the person comes out with sticker and a scraper and puts on . I assume so we don't go put it on another vehicle or something.

You could always bring your paperwork and scrape the sticker off before you get there. I personally would look at the person and say I'll scrape it off myself. I don't want my windshield to be harmed.

Yeah if you start doing stuff like that the shop likes to start digging into other things and see if they can figure out what your trying to hide. Then if they fail you you've got to get the things fixed before you can get an inspection.
Not worth it to me until they hopefully do away with inspections
