My Mercedes had this too and it was not so amazing in the winter. LOL

Luckily for me, I caught it right after it happened. My wife thought I was crazy when she saw me vacuuming out my car out in the cold at 10:30 at night.

just making sure everyone knew this. Press and hold lock or unlock to roll windows up or down from afar
Is this standard or optional? My 2018 XLT does not have this. Does this come with a certain package level?

Actually FORScan doesn’t have a code update for this function. I’ve tried.

It must be for limiteds and up since they have 1 touch windows for all doors. My wife had that same accident in our expy not too long ago.

Actually FORScan doesn’t have a code update for this function. I’ve tried.

I have the feature, so i haven't tried to specifically enable it, but it is listed in the sheets, values below.
The values match my as-Built with the exception of 726-30-01, i have 0303 vs 0101, so i have an additional bit toggled on in both those spots, but the 1 bit is also on

of course if you've tried all those and not working, i guess it's a no-go. I have read of some successes and failures when it comes to the window feature.

Global Window Open/Close
After pressing lock/unlock on fob, press lock/unlock again and hold button for front windows to go up/down
BCM 726-17-01 0101 0101 014A
BCM 726-17-02 0101 0101 014B
BCM 726-30-01 0101 xxxx xxxx
DDM 740-05-01 Dxxx xx
PDM 741-05-01 Dxxx xx

My DDM & PDM modules have more code in them then what is shown, so my 18 Expy shows:

DDM 740-05-01 xxxx xxxx xxxx
PDM 741-05-01 xxxx xxxx xxxx

So 6 more spots than indicated. So when I tried to rewrite with FORScan nothing happened.

that's my as-build on those.. yes they are longer, but only care about the 'D' in the first position. Sorry if that's unclear (i just copy/pasted from the spreadsheet)

also for the up/down, instructions vary, but you may need to Lock / then lock-hold for up, and unlock then unlock hold for down. (I think that's how mine works.. have only done it once to test)

This is another "hey, did you know?!" item:

If you open the sunroof all the way and then press the open button again, the roof opens another 3 inches or so. No idea why it doesn't open the full way off the bat, but it doesn't...you have to press the button again to get your extra few inches of sweet sunlight.

This is a common feature with "panoramic sunroofs" it has to do with buffetting. Try opening full at highway speed and you will notice a little beffetting and extra pressure. At least that is the case on my X5, soon to be gone.

Not a 4th-gen exclusive thing though. The 3rd-gen also does this, it’s not a pano thing. It’s even printed in the manual.

Thanks, I forgot the stopping part on my other cars, just for some reason the buffeting only happens on the one i have now with pano roof. maybe just me, thought.
