wiring harness damaged, door and liftgate ajar

Door and liftgate ajar message everytime i start the vehicle. Changed the third brake light and thing i either shorted something or damaged the tailgate wiring harness. Power locks dont work, cant open the trunk from the rear anymore, rear wiper doesnt work. Power fold mirrors work, front wipers work. Thats why im thinking its the tailgate wiring harness. Does anyone know how to access the rear wiring harness? Supposedly the wiring is linked to the door ajar sensors. How easy is it to fix? Thank you
