I noticed that the previous owner of my 98 Navigator ran two wires to the rear of the vehicle.
1) Charcoal canister vent solenoid
2) Rear air suspension ride height sensor.
When testing the original wires for the ride height sensor I had less than 1 volt going to the sensor when it should have been 4.8v. The PO just tapped off the front height sensor.
My question is... Are there any known issues with the wiring harness on these vehicles? I can see having an open circuit if something was damaged but a little hard to understand very low voltage.
Also, I have not tested the vent solenoid yet but I do have a P0455 code which could possibly be the solenoid stuck open.
Any comments are welcome.
