Wont shift into 3rd.

Hey guys, just got car back from frame shop. While driving it back, after about 30 miles. I tried speeding up from about 35 to 50ish but engine keft reving. Between 3000-5000 rpm when just cruising. Like it wouldn't shift into next gear. But eventually did, violently after about 5-10 seconds. Any ideas on what it could be. Mechanical, electrical, etc... Thanks in advance, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
