It does take some time get use to in today’s world with out front parking sensor, I’m testing the distance every time i park.

Huh - I just realized that I've never really had to worry about parking the nose close to something in my 2018 XLT. I rarely parallel park which would be the usual case where you're trying to get close to the car in front when you line it up. And, in parking lots I ALWAYS back in. I've heard and it makes sense to me that backing in is safer. It's also a requirement on any drilling rig so I had to get used to it anyways.

Sorry to hijack the thread - just thought of this... :D back to the XLT/Ltd discussion. FWIW I made the same decision - XLT over Ltd to save money without giving up anything I wanted.

Last month, I bought my 2019 xlt with 202a, also got the pano sunroof and some other options I didn’t care for.

xlt with 202a and pano roof is just about the same as ltd. ONLY missing the FRONT PARKING SENSORS and electrical running board.

It does take some time get use to in today’s world with out front parking sensor, I’m testing the distance every time i park. The electrical running boards was not an big deal i had them on my Lincoln Navigator, never had any issue on my running boards (135k miles), but i do see many cars with damaged boards and there’s no way to repair, so the less moving parts the better imo.

At the end of the day it’s comes down to price and selection. I got the xlt not because i wanted the xlt, more of the ford promotion that was only available to the xlt model. If the promotion was on the ltd, I’ve probably end up with the ltd.

No captains chairs in 2018 in the XLT bumped us to the Limited. Also enjoy the LED headlights and CCD suspension.

In early Sept I got a 2019 Max XLT 4x4 , 202A, with HD Tow package, Nav, 20” wheels, driver assistance.

Main item I wonder about missing are the front parking sensors and possibly the option to get the 360 view. I could not spend the big delta in cost to get to the Ltd trim though to gain access to those items.

I also wondered if the lack of LED headlights would be a problem. Fortunately, I do not find the headlights a problem after driving for a while now.

In general I am very happy with the XLT purchase so far.
