Can these shocks be added if they are not installed from the factory?Put Nivomat Self Leveling shocks back on. In addition to a small trailer sometimes carry an approx. 325 lb Endruo bike on a receiver hitch carrier in addition to riding and camping gear in the truck. Nivomats are great, you never notice them (unlike noisy and problematic air leveling

Very interesting. I, during the summer months tow a boat that weighs 6000 lbs. I am very interest in some kind of load leveling shock or air ride suspension. Where can these be purchased for the Expedition? I tried a Google search without any results...https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...71D99C7C227E31B745F671D99C7C227E3&FORM=VDQVAP
- It Depends, in theory yes, but when Nivomats are put on a Truck they tend to use lower rated springs as these shocks have significant lifting Power
- On the other hand if you have CDC type suspension and remove those shocks you will get a fault code unless you install the proper resister as a bypass
- How, do I know,,my former Suburbans had Nivomats, GM took them off for a cost savings. The air system was a disaster, both the air pump and air shocke either fail or leak. As the rear spring in my case were matched for leveling I was ok, then ordered on Ebay, the GM Stabilitrak bypass resistors for about $30 for 4. Put the Nivomats on in place of the crappy air shocks Best thing about them is you never notice them, go to home depot put in 800lbs + of topsoil bags, etc, in less 1/2 milp themselves up to normal ride height
