First shopping trip with the expy went well save for the milk that dropped out of the trunk when we opened the lift gate and spilled all over the driveway.

Would love to get a cargo net. Any recommendations?

No recommendations on nets, but I open the glass so I don’t lose any items out the back. Keep us posted if you find anything.

I've got one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075B6RVYW/

In addition to the adhesive backing I drilled the supplied screws into the interior plastic trim to secure the mounting points and have had no issues with anything coming loose.

Most of the time the bottom stays attached and I keep the top detached and stowed under a weathertech cargo liner. It's been handy and is certainly cheap enough.

hmm, that's a good idea, but that would work for me, but not my wife and kids unloading the groceries solo, i think...

she could probably reach in there and move things around before opening the gate, but, she might not be tall enough to really see what she needs to move

I ordered and bought a new 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4, and didn’t realize that Ford did not include a cargo net or provisions for one (or make it available as an accessory item) until after I bought the vehicle.

I have spilled cargo items numerous times out of the rear hatch, as items tend to shift rearward because the rear floor slopes down, toward the back.

This has to be one of the stupidest design features of the 3rd generation Expedition. My Expedition came standard with a stupid multi-color under-dash light feature which I have never used. I would trade the colored lights for a cargo net.

Just like with any vehicle, when you begin to drive and use them, you quickly find poorly designed (or missing) features. Mine seems to have a bunch of them too.

This really was piss poor planning on Fords part. I found this one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/MICTUNING-Th...Z6JE1Z06DVH&psc=1&refRID=6PTKT5K00Z6JE1Z06DVH (Wow that address was longer than I tought) I measured my 08 Limited. The rear width is 50.25" so this should fit with minimal stretching. It's on order and once it's installed I'll do my best to update this post.

awesome, would love to hear what you think.

I think they solved this problem with the 2018s, but I'm not 100% sure.

Mine has a floor panel at the rear that flips up to lock in the vertical or as an upper shelf. In my wife's Flex, she just uses a Tupperware bin to hold stuff in place. Everything moves when you have lots of space. If you want to see a sloped floor, check out the newer Suburbans...
