My 97 5.4L XLT
Well I was going to start a new thread but I decided against it. Anyways, long story short, selling the Expy today and picking up a 2008 FX4 super crew (I felt I got a really good deal on it.) Possible slipping
Mine is started doing the exact same thing about a month ago. Taking OD off it feels fine. I mainly notice it keeping the speed limit as you described (in OD letting off the gas then just giving it a little bit). I took it to the garage and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. Which spacers are better?
I too have the 3" Billet Aluminum ones. As a side note from experience, once I installed the spacers I NEEDED shocks. Mine was the original '97 shocks and it made the ride "unforgivable" over even small bumps.- 97_edition

Transmission Jerking Hard
I think mine just did this over the weekend. It didn't jerk hard though. At first I thought it was a miss but I tramped the gas and it took off and no jerk or hesitation. But I noticed going uphill slightly if I just keep it under 1500 rpm it will give a little jerk. Only does it once in a while...- 97_edition

1st Gen Rear Axle close to Pennsylvania
Hmmm... I had taken it to the garage that works on my expy when I can't (I didn't have the time or garage to tackle this myself.) He had ordered a "different" / "larger?" bearing for the side that was leaking. Not sure of the terminology of this, but he said 9/10 times this fixes the...- 97_edition

1st Gen Rear Axle close to Pennsylvania

Shocks for 2" Lift
Well I have done some research for the shocks I am having put on this week. I had to take it to a garage because I couldn't get the bolts off. And the garage had to cut them off anyways. Yep Dib is right. They are the XD Spy 797 series 18"x9". And thanks for the compliments guys. I want to put a 3" body lift on it but we are expecting a baby next week... The wife is only 5' so she is not excited about it.- 97_edition

Looking to add a brush guard... help & pic request
I have a Go Rhino! brush guard on mine and no tail light covers. I haven't hit anything with my expedition yet so I am not sure how strong it is. Crank t-bar vs. Leveling keys???
I was told by a 4x4 shop to make sure the place doing your new alignment does it "old School" , actually taking measurements and not letting a computer align your front end. The computers are programed to factory settings and with cranking the torsion bars and spacers your not factory any more...- 97_edition
