and while youre at it, replace the sparkplugs and ignition coils.
Wish I thought of this a few years ago when I did my manifold. now I have to cough up another $300+ just to replace my sparkplugs
Now more than ever you need to fab and extend Lightning Side skirts to fill that missing piece
Love what you did. More stance pics please :banana-mario:
Sucks that the 2WD model did not come with tow hooks. Even worse is Ford did not make a provision for it either. So with a pair of tow hooks in hand, I will visit a welding shop to drill holes into the frame and make the provisions to mount it.
Of you could adjust the leveling lever to increase the height. Wont quite be 2 inches (probably an inch at most) but it will be higher than stock and free
thanks USCGMAC - and I agree the mouldings will come off easy. its the adhesive I had difficulty with. I started with a section and after about an hour with goo gone + eraser wheel + plastic scrapers, I wasnt making progress and so at that point I decided to put it back and figure it out. there...
I wanted to debadge my expe but after seeing the indents and holes that would need patching, I decided to keep them on. I also wanted to remove the door mouldings but the adhesive is nearly married to the paint
Unless youre hell bent on having them work factory, you can wire them up independently. Mine fire up separate from the low beams BUT only with the parklights on
There have been many discussions on grill swaps. the F150 grill is narrower on the bottom compared to the Expes. If you want to use an F150 you have to use the whole grille frame assembly. Good news is the aftermarket option is not too expensive
What a timely project. My brother with a 99 XLT is doing the reverse. He is switching from 1st and 2nd row bench seats to bucket seats. We recently pulled the seats from a Lincoln Navigator so it also has a center console for the 2nd row. The seats are now headed to a restoration shop to figure...
Yea i Saw that too. The online chat from A1 was no help either. The F150 chassis has different mirrors too so its not a straight swap between the years too. And I agree $200 for aftermarket is a bit much. And it doesnt even have turn signals either
I'm looking into retrofitting towing mirrors. And because the factory snap on tow mirrors are not my thing, Im looking at getting some from the F150 or F250 parts bins.
Anyone know which exact mirror models will fit our expedition? I can deal with the wiring Im more concerned of the fit and...
