Anyone disabled the door open chime?
hmmmm. In all my fords, there is not a speaker. But a little pack of what looks like 4 quarters stacked. Generally they are inside a black box. Not sure on the new expys tho.....?- pooleo8

Oil Filters taken apart
I use either mobil 1 or K&N. Advance always have their synthetic oil on sale every month or so. 5 qts. and a filter for like $30. They seem to package them like, mobil 1 oil and filter. Or, Castrol with K&N.- pooleo8

Locker in the front?
But is the front 8.8 the same as a rear 8.8....? Ranger 8.8 are 28 spline. I seen a pic of the front diff open, and it looks just like a rear 8.8. Just wondering.- pooleo8

Exhaust keeps popping gaskets. Ideas?
Header or Manifold? I just installed JBA headers on my ranger. The header actually has rasised ports where the manifold was flat. This was a problem with OEM gaskets. They "fell" off the back side of each port. The fix was to use Mr. Gasket header gasket material. I made my own gaskets...- pooleo8

Locker in the front?
I was under the expy the other day and noticed the front diff had 8.8 casted into the front cover. 1. I did not know what size the front diff was, but now assume its a ford 8.8? 2. If it is, will a locker from a rear end 8.8 work in the front diff....? :smokin:- pooleo8

issues with oil!
I've been around motors long enough to know the signs of a blown HG or bad head. Coolant is fine. Resivour doest have any oily substance either. As for oil, 7 qts. I have added another oil cooler and the manual oil line for the guage. So it may be a little overfull, but not enough I think to...- pooleo8

issues with oil!
every now and then you can smell oil in the exhaust. Oil never shows on the dip stick. I can do a fresh oil change, and the dip stick does not read! There is oil on the sides, but not like it should be. Last winter I had some milking on the oil cap. It has since gone away. The mechanical oil...- pooleo8

Be careful with the racing fuel, its leaded (generally) we have 110 here. I run it in the harley all the time, what a difference. Even over pump gas 93. Along time ago when sportin the '67 F-100 with a built 352, I ran out of fuel once. A guy had some aviation fuel. Put about 2 gallon in it...- pooleo8

Yeah, the blend door and actutator would have nothing to do with it. As you said both front and rear has the same symptoms. Check your bottom radiator hose, you might have a partial plug in the rad. Also, is there a vacumm operated valve like on the rangers? This shuts off the flow of...- pooleo8

Different tire size
I had 285 Hankook MT's on mine when I bought it. They rubbed the rear frame area when cornering on the stock rims. I would run a 265/70 or 75- pooleo8

My expy pulls back
hmmmmm, the "work" truck I sometimes drive does this same thing, noticed it today. Its a 2000 F-150, 4.6 auto 2wd. Almost feels like the engine shuts off.....or something- pooleo8
