    I wanted to say what i ended up using for this. I sanded it area with 40 grit paper and knocked off all the crinkle finish and used goop to attach the led strip to read deck panel and it had held fine so far will do an update if there is any separation issues in the future.

    i did the ammo cans on my truck and they were great...you will love them. I stored my tow chains & tire chains in one and my ratchet tie downs, tow strap and jumper cables in the other. plus they are water tight (if you buy good ones) and they get all that messy stuff out from under your back...
