2018 Expedition XLT Max. I just recovered from a tranmission overfill / overheat issue thanks to negligent dealer service. Now the electronic engine temp gauge in the cluster swings from 226 degrees on the high end to 205 degrees, spiking lower sometimes to 198 degrees on the low end within seconds. Then the temp sits at 210-215, then the temp starts swinging again. Highway and street. Seems to me engine temp should be steady. I've never encountered this issue. I have been told my battery is not good, but all systems are working and it starts. Could this be a battery going bad issue or a thermostat issue, or does the engine temp gauge do that and I just haven't noticed before? So far it hasn't gone over 226 degrees. Any help would be appreciated in diagnosing the issue.
