Gee, you'd think that a power window switch would last more than a quarter million miles...

Switch for driver's window went south, and that window is stuck in the "down" position. I've got a replacement on order, but I'm tired of the duct-tape-and-plastic-to-keep-the-rain-out routine, not to mention the security issue.

Can I jumper the connector and get the window to go up one more time? If so, which terminals do I use?

Electricity has scared the heck out of me ever since I flew that kite...007.jpg 008.jpg 009.jpg 010.jpg 007.jpg 008.jpg 009.jpg 010.jpg 007.jpg 008.jpg 009.jpg 010.jpg

You will need the wiring diagrams for your year. The window switch reverses polarity for the up/down function so you will need to know what wires to jump.
I don't have the diagrams with me but if you add the model and year of your Expy to your profile signature another member - Bedrck47 - may post them for you.

Yeah, I gave the switch a blast of WD-40 and got two more weeks out of it; it's given up the ghost for good now. Thanks, though!

Thanks for the diagram, Bedrck47; I appreciate the effort and assist. Trying like the devil to avoid taking off the door panel, though.

Prolly try feeding it with a new 9V or 2 noticeably depleted 9V each measuring ~6V

Many 12v systems can get SOME manner of response from a 9V battery, but it's usually not strong enough to burn stuff out if you mess up
