I was hugging the side because I did know how deep the water was and I slipped into the da** ditch. If I had limited slip in the rear, I now have proof that it is not working.

Yikes! My 3.31 4x4 has a peg-leg rear, too. Traction lock rear diff was probably a $200 checkbox on the build sheet when the truck was new. For me to convert it over to a trac loc today, I'll have to sink $600-$1k for everything I need to convert my existing rear diff....er, unless I get lucky and can find a complete rear end for cheap!

It wasn't that expensive because I was able to use my AAA. Although I did pull the tow rig about 5Ft before my X broke free from the mud . The tow guy got a tittle worried at first. LOL

i can get a rear axle (9.75) in my area for 100 bux, good bet tho limited slips will be shot but not a huge deal to rebuild with fresh friction plates

Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

if you have the smaller axle (think 8 3/4), tons of stuff out there for that

I will be adding a lunchbox locker to my rear and I'm debating on adding a lunchbox to the front. The only thing is, looking back at how soft the terrain was, think I would have 4 wheels sunk in holes instead of two.
