I had the same thing happen with the drive selector on my Yukon to the point that the bolts fell out and the handle came out. After reading this post i went out to my expedition and checked the ones on that and sure enough they were loose. I have a blinker problem as well but it might be due to some pinched or grounded out wires. If i have the column all the down blinkers wont work as soon as i move it up they come on. A friend has the same problem with the blinkers on his Expy as well. as for components in your column check the salvage yard. Here there is always 5-6 Expys at any given time lying around a 2-3 waiting to be processed to go in to the yard.
