Whats up everybody? I've been researching Expeditions for the last 2 months or so and I have been lurking this site. I've been in a tough financial situation and finally got out of my stupid Corolla lease lol... I have 2 young kids and my wife is 7 months pregnant with our 3rd so it was time to upgrade to a new (used) big ol' family car!

I can proudly say that tonight we purchased our first Expedition! It's a white 1st gen 2000 XLT 5.4L.

Looking to have a little fun with it on the side and hopefully do some cheap, easy mods, etc. Any tips or things I should know would be greatly appreciated! It's my first Expy, my first Ford, and my first V8 (I know gas mileage is gonna suck lol).

Thanks!

Pics to come in the next day or so - we actually had quite a bit of a trek to get this thing lol so we just got home (10pm) and I'm exhausted.

I know what Plasti Dip is but I've never heard of dipping car parts in it. You must have used a lot of it!
Please let us know how this turned out. I'm new to this site myself and am interested in what you guys do to your Fords. I have a 2000 Eddie Bauer edition and have only had it for a month. It's in great shape but I would like to find a set of new running boards.
