HID upgrade for 2nd Gen Head & fog lights

Size of ballast...buy a kit from ebay like zentec...9006 and 9145 for fogs...

I know the sockets, what is the canceller and relay?

relay is used if for whatever reason you don't get enough power to both lights...it'll push the power to both lights...and the canceller helps with flickering of the HID bulbs...u only see that if youre on a wall...u cant see it on the road unless it just ridiculously bad...I have a relay on mine but mine are 85w so they need more power

so would a relay and canceller help for 6k and 8ks?

No...u don't need it...more than likely u will get 35w and ur good to go

so if I were to get 9145 these would be able to just plug and play into the stock socket right? same with the regular 9005 and 9006 sockets with out any relays or cancellers?

In hopes of clarifying things. 35w refers to the power of the lamp, 6k and 8k refers to the color temp of the light (4k yellowish - like halogens, 5k is white, 6k white with slight blue, 8k bluer, etc.). As long as you keep the power factor at 55w or below you will not need the relays and other stuff. Does that make sense?

thanks Andy, even though on the hid websites says plug and play, always double checking and making sure I don't need any other parts

The ones I bought were very easy to install. I had to reverse one plug to make the high beams work on my '05 but that was in the instructions. The hardest thing was getting the headlights out so I could change the bulbs.

Just ordered mine. 5000k for the low beams and 3000k for the fog lights. I may go for high beams also, but I'll decide that after I install these.

I have the 5k 35w for my low beams and I installed the high end 4.3K halogens for the high beams in my stock headlights, but my low beams are so bright that I don't use the high beams at all.

U won't need high beams...I've been in back woods no light in Alabama and the lows highlighted everything....I have no probs with the 6k in the fogs during fog conditions...

Most will agree that already have HIDs in their lights...the 9005 for high beam is truly unnecessary due to the lows being so bright and giving great visibility...as stated before...I have drove in the sticks of Alabama and Florida...highs were never needed at all

its a nice starter, works 1,400 feet away, 4 button fob, lock/unlock, starter and a 4th button for customization. I believe its the 4301. local bestbuy should have it
