Hey guy's.
Jimmy here.
Bought an 03 with 29000 on the odometer last week.

Bought some FX4 wheels.

Now I am trying to decide what ride height looks best.

I am worried about having to much geometry on the cv joints and wearing them out...

So I put a jack under the front and back.
I measured from the ground to the blue tape on the fender.
Then I took pictures of the different lift combinations below.

I just want the truck to look like a 4x4, not a 2wd...
I tow a boat, and have a factory warranty from ford.
So I realy don't want to mess with the rear end geometry and hear some BS from the warranty.

I would like the sway bars, any suggestions?

Not going to lower it though.

Mostly want to level it.

Go for broke!!! Raise it to 8" !! Having a Gen2 is the last of the models that has this ability..
:head3:

It's mainly my wifes car, so she would not like climbing in and out of an 8 inch lift.
...and I have a lifted truck already with about 20 inches of lift.

Thanks for your opinion

id say a 3/2 is a good lift option. I mainly do fire roads through the mountains. So i dont really need the extra clearance. But i like the added clearance when i cross rivers. dont have to worry about water coming in.

Just add another side step... Getting in would be a breeze... She may like it.. a his and hers :)

Now if there was a 20" lift for the expy... I just might also go that route also :) Nice ride btw.. :)

Small world...

I live in Nashville Tennessee now.

On a side note, or back to the thread...

A 2.5 inch front leveling kit for an F150 = 2 inch lift on an expedition due to the weight. According to Daystar...

Can't find a 1 inch rear :(
