I'm not too sure on the general opinion her on k&n filters but I stand against them. you're better off running an oem equiv filter and keeping it changed on time. if not properly maintained the k&n filters allow fine particulate to get in and kill the maf and potentially wear out the oil rings. unless you're running at wide open throttle alot, you're not going to see a difference. better off doing gotts mod or some of the other mods.

Anyhow, Welcome to the forum, Hope you're enjoying your new addition.

If your gonna use the K&N then don't oil it. Its the oil that hurts the mass air

and it's the lack of oil that lets the smaller dirt in. I forget the exact argument but the end result was more only if you need that extra power and are willing to possibly sacrifice longevity of the engine. but in the end it's more of what you want to do and how you're driving it. :Good or Bad:

Welcome Jon, I'm up in Toledo. If you're ever up this way there's a place called Diversified Truck, Auto and Off-road that's pretty good with 4x4 mods but that's a long way to drive for some wrenching lol. Good luck.
