Hello all,
I am new to the forum and I have a question concering my aftermarket install options. I own a 2006 limited with factory navigation, I have figured out the harness i need ( metra 70-1776). The problem is that no one seems to stock the harness or have even heard of it with the exception of install.com. In my excited haste to install my new deck, I purchased the harness from them without having read the customer reviews and it would appear that I may have an experience similar to the ones I've read. That being said, have any of you found an alternative to this harness or have any work arounds? retaining the factory sub would be nice, but not imperitive. Thanks in advance for any help you guys may provide.

Look up Schoche online for the harness you need. They usually have all the different harnesses anyone would possibly need.

Thanks for the reply, I have checked schoche and they don't have anything for that particular truck. there were 3 or 4 different harness for that model year and it would appear from what i have found googling, that everyone overlooked this harness. From what I can tell, Metra was the only one to make a harness for her but i didn't want to resign myself to that because of some of the things i have read on the forum here. I have never heard of PAC or things of that sort and I was still holding out hope I wouldn't have to hack up my factory harness. Thanks again for the reply.

No, I've identified the proper harness, my issue is that no one carries it other than the site I ordered from. They informed me today that they don't have any on hand ( even though the site says instock) and are expecting a ridiculous amount of them by weeks end. After reading the reviews, this appears to be a common MO for this site and I expect to not receive my harness anytime soon. Metra acknowledges the existence of this harness ( 70-1776), but won't sell direct. I posted hoping someone was aware of an alternative. Thanks for the reply.

Try a Best Buy that does installations. I actually got all of my harnesses through them when I did my installation.
