Crate Motor Options for '03 Expy??

What are they? Looking for a "drop in" crate replacement for the 4.6L in my '03. Just started looking but don't see many options.

Thanks but not exactly what I was looking for. Lookng for hipo crate motors like Chevy offers the LS6 for multiple applications. I can rebuild a 4.6, or pick up a "pull out" 5.4 and rebuild it with stronger crank/rods, more compression, cams, ported heads, upgraded intake and a tuner/tune. Or find a hipo crate motor that will drop in, just haven't found any drop in units for an Expedition.

You can check out some of the modular motors / long blocks here but they are not exactly for those on a tight budget.

Go on ebay they have crate motors for sale . Punch in 4.6 rate motors it will pop up or 5.4 crate motors . They everything .

I think you're better off with a solid rebuilt motor and add a centrifugal blower.

Short answer.... yes.

But you will need custom tune along with other modifications to make it work. If you have 2wd I believe the lightning pcm will work but you must verify.
