The controls on the dash work perfect, the ones overhead for the middle seat row also work fine. The ones for the third row seat vents, it's like it's not even plugged in. No fan. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks,
John

Haha, that's a great story. One day I wasn't thinking about what I was doing and I grabbed it thinking maybe I could break it free. Instead I broke it off. My daughter had a good laugh!

would suggest you get a copy of;

Ford workshop manual on DVD. Can be obtained from seller "morpheousking" on e-bay. Cost about $15.00 Much better than Clymer, Haynes or Chilton and also includes wiring diagrams

Don't waste your money on a Clymer, Haynes or Chilton Manual.
It is well worth the $15.00 just make sure you get the DVD for your year as the seller has different DVD's for different years

It will aid you in making repairs and help improve your troubleshooting skills

So are any of the vents blowing air in the rear. If none of them are blowing air its most likely the blower motor. It is really easy to get access to the rear aux AC unit so take the panels off and play with the controls to see if anything is moving and see via multimeter if the blower is getting some electricity.

Bedrck46 - thanks, I'll check that out.

Splintrcel - the vents to the middle row seats work fine. The ones to the third row of seats its like the controls aren't connected. Tonight I'm going to see if they're even lit up when the lights are on, I didn't think to check.

The controls light up when the lights are on. Where is the rear aux AC unit? Does it maybe have it's own fuse I should check?

Are any of the other controls able to run the rear fan?
What other controls would run the rear fan? My understanding is that the ones in the dash run the one in the front, the ones over the rear view mirror run the one in the center and the ones over the center seat run the one in the back. Am I wrong?

Thanks,
John
