Couple quick questions hopefully.

#1 - I changed out some of the ATF on our 07 Expd this weekend. I siphoned roughly 5.5 qts (didn't drop the pan) but was only able to put 4.8 back in before the pan started overflowing. I figured that the aux cooler had also emptied and was able to put the missing .7 qt into it. Test drove it and everything seems fine.

My question is about the fluid level. My driveway is not quite level. I checked it while idling hot and the level was about on the K on the dipstick. I took it for a short drive then backed into my previous spot and checked again. It was all the way up to the handle base. Averaging those two readings out leaves me with a level just above the crosshatching. Should I be concerned? I'll be towing a 1 ton pop-up this weekend.

#2 - I've changed 7 of 8 plugs on the truck. I only have the back right (pass. side) one to do (#8 I think). The front 4 were fine. #3,4, and 7 all broke and had to be extracted. Any tips on getting it out easily or improving access to it? Looks like there are two coolant lines running directly above the cylinder. I am assuming since #4 broke off I will have the same issue with #8.

1) Wasted your money imo. Should have just flushed it if you went through the trouble of siphoning the fluid out. You can see YouTube videos on how to do this. I did this on my 03 expy. Not hard to do. I did mine all in one shot though.

2) they make a tool to help extract them.

For question #1, should I be worried about the fluid level being slightly above the full mark? It's probably 1/8" over.

For question #2, I have the tool. It's how I removed the other 3 broken plugs from 3, 4, and 7. I was asking if anyone had any tips on gaining easier access to #8. There are two lines running almost directly above it -- are they a/c lines?

How long are you letting it idle before checking? Do you cycle it through all the gears before checking? If it's still a little high I would siphon some out. Be about an 1/8 below the line. I've just read that it isn't good to be over filled.

Sorry can't help with the other. My engine doesn't have those defective plugs. Have you looked on YouTube?

My bad. It's #4 that has the a/c lines running nearly over it.

I let it get all the way to operating temp. I went through all gears 10 sec at a time -- both on the way down the console and back up.
