Does anybody know how many gallons is left when the low fuel light comes on ?

the low fuel will come on with approx. 50 miles to empty so determine what your mpg are and you should be able to figure that out ie: 15 mpg would be about 3.3 gal remaining this should be a close figure

The last time mine came on, I ran out of fuel not 8 miles later... Took 29 gal to fill up. 1/4 tank is my reserve now so I can avoid running out

My truck has a very fast last 1/4. Like less than 60 miles from quarter to light. Be careful running it that low. It's also hard on the fuel pump since it uses the fuel to cool itself

yeah, I was aware of that at the time but sometimes things get tight money wise.

Oh I totally understand. I've been at the light too for the same reason. The pig can hurt the insides to fill sometimes haha.

I was just afraid the OP might be running it to the light a lot hence wondering how much wiggle room he has.

I have a 99EB 5.4. My trip computer goes to zero at 25 gallons. That leaves me 5 gallons left in my 30 gallon tank. I usually figure 10MPG to be safe which gives me about 50 miles before I really start to worry.
