I surprised my wife yesterday with a new 2015 Platinum Expedition. She currently has an 08 Escalade. The Expedition is WAY nicer in pretty much every way (except maybe the engine...it's hard to beat a LS motor!)

I'll get some more pics up later.

Nice...Get it at Mac Haik? I've been looking around lately but it's getting harder and harder to find anyone stocking 4wds.

PS looks like you are in Coles?

No. I got it at Helfman Ford. I've bought a few vehicles there and a few from Sterling McCall and I think Helfman has the best service.

Ahh, we're on the NW side of town, my wife liked Sterling when we looked at the LX570s. But ended up at Gunn in San Antonio as the upfitter we used had a program worked out with them.

I'll be interested to see how you like the EB, I'm due to replace my expedition in about 4-5 months and will most likely end up with an Escalade due to the lack of a V8 alternative from Ford.

When are you getting the windows done?

maybe true but there are many EB (Eddie Bauer's) in the 3 generation and there are more EB's (Eddie Bauer's) then EB's (EcoBoost)

EXACTLY...eco boost has been referred to as eco since they came out here on this forum...he's been on for over a year...that is the first time i've ever seen that reference used for eco boost...the common term seen has been eco...roxy has been here for a while as well...so its just not me...but whatever...

to further show what i'm talking about...look at my signature and i didnt change it...been that way for a couple of years....i'll help out...says 04 EB

See below...we're not talking about trim levels since we've already clarified he's got a Platinum.

I guess you never made a mistake and misread anything. Damn must be great being so perfect

And I agree with 6K-Watts as EB on this forum has always stood for Eddie Bauer

Long before anyone referred to ecoboost as EB

which is why i made the statement that he didnt have an EB...which u related it meant ecoboost...do u not follow/understand the confusion "EB" caused? regardless you state LSXXX and V8...its NOT and automatic coorelation...thats what im pointing out...

V8 vs Eco Boost

If you really prefer the V8 go to a dealer and have him search for a 2014 V8 in the trim level you want.
I wasn't thrilled with buying a V6 with Eco Boost, so I searched and spoke with my dealer and they found me a 2014 Limited with all the toys, plus I got a super discount on price. What's nice is its a tried and true model that has been around not a newly redesigned model, where you have to fix and tweak all the bugs out of it!
Just a thought I made, and am very happy. My decision was made after I spent a day at the auto show, climbing in and out and under everything there. I had my son do the same and we compared notes. I compared and measured in and out and under the Escalade, Yukon Denali, Chevy Tahoe, Toyota both large models, Infiniti, etc.
2014 Expedition was the best deal and vehicle to buy! With a V8!
We sat down at our local dealer and we searched to find what I wanted and did the deal. We bought a black limited with chrome wheels and all the pkgs. An early birthday present for me from my wife.

I already have a '13 KR 4x4. I like the changes ford made but they missed a few major items: auto highbeams, HIDs, distronic cruise control and a V8. For reference we also own a QX80 4x4 with the tech package and it's night and day better then the expedition from fit and finish to ride to technology to off road ability. The only advantage is that my expedition was under 40 grand out the door brand new. You can't get into a new escalade or infiniti for under 70K.
