Rookie here, so my apologies if this has already been answered.

Just got a 2010 Limited and trying to swap out the OEM bulbs with LED. I got all the way through the interiors save the rear cargo/dome light. That cover doesn't seem to want to give and I'm not brave enough at this point to force it. Any tips on getting that off? Seems the direction of attack is from the rear of the vehicle.

Also, was interested in changing out the bulbs underneath the side mirrors. Same scenario and question here on how to get those out without snapping anything off.

Thanks in advance. Glad I've found this forum. Quite a few interesting topics I've read already.

So, I did find the answer to the puddle lights. However, I still haven't seen exactly how that cargo light gets replaced. Does part of if flip down? Because it doesn't feel like the whole piece comes out of the roof like the dome lights do.

Awesome! Looks like the the conversion isnt as pricey as I thought. How do the led compare tp the normal incandescent? If its anything like it was for my house this looks to be very interesting.

This should be the first modification anyone does. Can't even sell the difference with pictures. Looks like a completely new/different interior.

Here's a video for the map lights:

Similar ones can be found for the others, excluding the glove box light. That little bugger I still haven't figured out how to do without breaking it. Not sure if the cover flips open towards the opening or if you just have to pry that bulb out awkwardly. I'll do the puddle lights and the license plate bulbs next. Please shoot a message if you need help finding or installing these guys. Most of the covers you force off, but there is a method to each without snapping anything.

How are you doing the puddle lights? I did my interior two years back. I had trouble with the rear cargo light as well. Never changed it.

There's a youtube video for that as well. Can't look it up at the moment, but it involves popping them out, cutting out the adhesive, swapping the bulbs and then putting more of the silicon back on to waterproof.

The cargo light was very easy. There's a little cutout for a screwdriver/knife on the rear side near the door, but initially I didn't want to give it as much pressure as was required. Just flips right down.

What site did you order these direct replacements from?? I'm not very interested in wiring up any conversion kits.

Not sure on the Puddle Lights. The owners manual may call them something else. But I think I remember seeing some did theirs in this thread. It takes a little effort to get to those too...I think you have to reseal them, etc.

The license plate lights is a 168 in the owners manual, so just look it up on the superbright website. If you put in the vehicle it should show you all the corresponding LEDs.

Yeah I see the license plate lights now but I actually have a drivers side puddle light out and it's very annoying looking so I'm trying to find the LED swap for it... Googling it I found some $60 I think but I see some stories about them staying turned on or burning out and that kinda drives me toward to getting OEM from the junkyard

Just put mine in and WOW, huge difference. Goes from yellow, faded light to bright white. Love it. I just did the interiors but about to order the ones for the lights under the side mirrors (AKA Puddle lights I think) and the license plate.

Word to the wise. Make sure you let the bulbs cool before pulling them....don't ask. I did it at night. Bring your flashlight.
