Deferred disposition keeps it off your record.
hmmmm got a few of them...
first moved back to texas from living in alabama, there the speed is what ever traffic is doing, 65 to 85 best keep up or move over.
well a few weeks back in tejas and i was passing a guy doing 68 and before i knew it a trooper appeared like magic....i don't know how long he was behind me. i was driving the svt contour and most likely hit 100 before i moved back into my lane

mr. trooper was some PEEEE OOOOOD and gave me verbal lashing about alabama tags, fl license and new tx address.
over 400 bux later it was adjudicated :)
then got a .....sit down.......57 in a 55 at around 3am....trooper in flat black car wearing black camo. I had both grand babies in the rear seat of the f350 crew cab dually......another 400 was deposited in the bank of trooper.
it was priceless.

Ford just dumped its CEO. Rumor is, its path of aluminum body trucks and Eco-boost, have been a flop. Aluminum bodies, can not be curved to a sharp degree. That have lead to boring, squared off designs. Cheap gas, have consumers wanting options of, non-turbos. and V8s.
And the EB hater is back...

It has NOTHING to do with the EB motor or Aluminum Body panels as to why the CEO was replaced. Both are the future. Weight has to be decreased in order for MPG to continue to increase. Aluminum is the way to a large share of that possible weight savings. EB Motors give more MPG at the same Power Levels, or More power at the same MPG when comparing the 5.0 to the 3.5TT. Like has already been mentioned, MANY manufacturers are already using Aluminum and have been for years. FORD is just the first to use it on a vehicle that has as high production numbers as the F-150.

The reason for the change in CEO's is Management style, and Fields pissed off Bill Ford. Fields basically said FORD(Company) was intentionally moving slow on Electric and Self Driving, Ford(Person) didn't like that. Fields likes A LOT of fluff in Management, Hackett like Less at the top, and giving them more decision making power. Basically he puts people in he can trust, but less of them. High level meetings are smaller and more effective. He is also a Tech Geek, and has committed to something like 5 Billion in development on Self Driving, and a production ready vehicle by 2021. Should be pretty game changing if he pulls it off.

Try again, and stop reading Truck Forums for your business information...go read a respected source or sources. The Aluminum and EB projects are 2 of the successes from the past few years that are mentioned in some of the business articles.

Airplanes are not made from stamp aluminum panels. If you closely at a 737, it is patchwork of panels. they are glued and have double flush rivets. It is well known the boring styling of the F150, was driven by limitations of stamp aluminum. Ford took a Billion dollar loan/gamble on the EcoBooost. It was a cheaper alternative to hybrid and diesel. to meet Obama's 50 MPG C.A.F.E mandate. Trump has taken steps to reverse, the unrealistic order.

The boring styling of the F150 seriously????? It's been the best selling truck for how many decades now. I think it's safe to assume there are millions of people who would disagree with you on this. The Ecoboost is making Ford money hand over foot while putting many V8's to shame on a daily basis. You're a hater plain and simple

You being from Quitman will understand. I got my ticket from a local while going through Sulphur Springs. I jokingly stated to my wife that they only needed the money to pay someone to clean the glass restrooms and as long as I wrote them a fat check, it would go away.
Sure enough...

Aluminum bodies have boring styling? I think the F150 looks pretty darn sharp. The ecoboost is probably not going away and nor is the V8, they both have their uses. For an SUV that doesn't tow daily the V6 makes perfect sense. I drive a triton V8 and the only benefit over the ecoboost I have is I can say "my pistons slap through more gas than your engine" or "listen to that V8 sound" that's about it. Many consumers are now seeing Ford an innovative and an industry leader, I think it's helping not hurting them.

I wonder if the 3.5 Eco is going to hold up as well as the 5.4. There are less cubic inches producing more power and torque. I would think it also causes more wear and tear. Any other opinions?

All maybe true, but Ford will not admit publicly that the product line, is going in wrong direction. The design of the F150, may be acceptable, now. But what about newer models? This is as good as it gets. Self driving cars? Come on man, that is Tesla territory, not Ford. Sync, EcoBoost, and Aluminum body trucks, are not what customers want. If weight savings was one issue, they could use polymer panels, like Saturn. Oh wait...that flopped too. The EcoBoost's higher cost alone is being passed on to customers. GM, Ram and Toyota are all using Ford marketing against them and getting a larger share of buyers. Have you seen the TV commercial with the tool box drop, into the bed? Ford offered EcoBoost rebates to lure buyers. Ford's lower pricing of F150, is what kept it #1. The closer in price they get, the more people look at the competition.

I have NO IDEA where you are getting this crap. ALL AUTO SALES ARE DECLINING! The auto sales market is leveling out from it's several years of booming. That is fact and can be supported by numbers. Talk to the average 16 year old. Many do not have their license, and are in no rush to get it. UBER and Lyft have decreased people's need to buy their own car. They go on an app, and boom they can get where they need to get.

So you are falling for GM's marketing crap. Have you gone and looked at a 150's bed? See what you know...the plastic panels that Saturn did, wasn't about weight savings. In some cases those body panels weighed MORE than a stamped steel panel. They were about bumps and bruises. They could take the impact of a cart in the grocery store parking lot with out a dent. They failed because plastic requires oil, and it was not cost effective, and maintaining the supply of panels. They couldn't be patched in the same way a metal panel can, and so forth. Yes, Aluminum has some of the same patch issues, but some body shops are ready for it, because of other manufacturers ALREADY using aluminum.

Looks like the Aluminum and EB motors have only HELPED SALES! Hate to use numbers/facts against you.

Here are a few articles on the CEO change, and why. If you think FORD, Chevy, and Dodge don't need to get ahead of the Self Driving/Electric car you really do have your head in the sand. Trust me I like driving, but it would be nice on a boring highway section to just press a button, and take my hands off the wheel, and relax, Like Tesla can almost do now.

.... I'll tell y'all this, though i have zero data to support it:

the circles i run in require diesel trucks to pull- and i've never been around a crowd happier and/or more lustful for the new superduty's than the current year. it's not only about the power, but also the cab and configuration, which differs much less with the half ton than it did last gen.

i know one guy in particular who has driven (2) 7.3's, (2) 6.0's, (1)6.4 and (2) 6.7's to the end of their service life, and he said prior to his third and current 6.7 (brand new superduty, an F-450) he's always looked at it as a necessary evil and nothing to be excited about- he said he's excited about this truck.... he's already 40k miles into it. obviously, he's in it a LOT.... he is incredibly happy with that rig... he ought to be for a rig that ran him $80k dressed as it is.

if that kind of excitement filters down into the now almost clone lil' brother, the F150, it will remain king of the half-tons...

The CAB on the New Supers is not close to the 150 but the exact same. Same physical panels, doors, seats, there are very few parts that are not interchangeable. I have heard the same as you.

I think Ford hired internet trolls, to monitor forums. Ford has went way to gimmicky in the last 5 years. Buyers see it and are not falling for it. Cheap leasing has kept auto sales strong. Dependence on leasing is what almost brought GM and Chrysler down, in 2008. Polymer body panels are still used on some models and almost, every bumper made. I owned a Lincoln with fenders and hood, that were not metal. I have 2000 Expedition with a aluminum tailgate. I was furious that SYNC added $580, to my new Mustang and could not be deleted. I am not saying I would not buy a Ford. I don't like what is being forced on us.

Yep, definitely a Troll, you figured me out. I am on Fords payroll...Amazing how good your deduction skills are. My opinion based and supported by numbers and facts differs from yours therefore, I MUST BE A TROLL!!! HAHAHAHA!

Yes, plastic bumpers...because they can take minor impacts and not show any signs...duh, but fitment for all panels because of temperature expansion ans shrink is also another issue.

NONE of my vehicles has ever been leased! I happen to own 2 Ford's with EB motors right now, owned a 2006 F250 PSD CC, and a Passat TDI before that, and Chevy Impala and a Jetta TDI before that. So again, I MUST BE A TROLL! Love it.

Just a guy who reads, learns, and doesn't have my head in the sand...

The 3.5TT in the Expedition was a perfect match, and those of us that own one all agree.

You have STATED, all sales are down, then post sales figures, showing an increase. You post Bill Ford, did not get along with Fields. You are a BS artist or a Ford internet troll.

I said in general sales are going down across all auto sales. The F-Series has continued to increase despite that general trend, evidence that the design choices like EB, and Aluminum have not negatively effected sails.

Fields is the PREVIOUS CEO. He is GONE. He was replaced by Hackett. Bill Ford is on the Board, and is the Executive Chairman. The CEO answers to the board. Bill Ford did not like the slowness that Fields was reacting to current auto trends, therefore he spearheaded his replacement. Did you read ANY of the articles I linked? Go read them...and maybe you will get it. I am done trying to explain this to you...just like in the other thread about the MPG and Power vs the 5.0. I will no longer respond to you...VERY Un-Troll like behavior.

Based on your assumptions/opinions of what ford or the market wants, I would label you as the troll

LokiWolf, don't waste your time. If there was a way to ban posters from my thread I would.

Thanks Andy...Sorry for the Hijack! Hope things are good with you! Going on a road trip with the Expy, leaving Sunday. Not terribly far from home, but up in to the Blue Ridge, and should be making a decent amount of day trips to some of the sites in the hills. Got my new Thule Bumper Bike Rack, and hopefully will get a chance to hit a few trails, as it has BEEN way to long.

The EB will serve me well up and down the mountains.

You didn't hijack the thread, we are still talking about the EcoBoost.

Going up those long hills on the PA Turnpike last week the EB had plenty of power and if the transmission downshifted at all I didn't notice. We are going back again in August for my Dad's 92nd birthday. So we get to do it all over again. and then we won't go back again until next June.
