OH, LMS does what they claim. Still haven't tuned the Expy, but my Edge Sport is running their 93 Aggressive tune...and it is FUN! Not that the 2.7EB is a slouch from the factory, but with a 93Octane tune...it is REALLY fun to embarass cars 2 and 3 times the price tag, touted as performance!
93 octane, aggressive tune, haha?? So you need premium, to get full power? The motor does not tune up, it tunes down for cheap gas. This motor, probably should always run premium. Ford knew it would turn off buyers, if this was known. Why mess with "tuning" if motor is so powerful? I doubt you would "embarrass" anyone in a Escalade or BMW.

Dude, I could explain tuning to a particular Octane with a turbo to you, but you wouldn't get it, so a waste of my time.

I can absolutely Kill a 6.2 equipped GM Product(Silverado, Denali, Escalade) 0-60.

Even on Paper I could beat one stock. 0-60 on a stock Escalade is 6.0, Edge Sport is 5.6. Tuned with LMS 93 agressive with a boosted launch and traction control off, I am 4.8 or so. With Traction Control on I am right at 5.0. All documented.

I can beat the lower model BMW's also with ease..now the upper and M models nope, but they don't run away. Played with a Macan the other day. He could beat me, but I stayed on his Quarter panel. His trans shifts SOO MUCH FASTER! Power wise I was there, but that dual clutch trans is awesome! Again, 35-50K more vehicle.

First of all, this is a Expedition forum. What the F**k, does a Edge Sport, have to do with it? The Expedition is a 5000lb people mover, that can tow. I don't see many at the track, except pulling a race car. The 3.5ltt, is a fuel saver and not high performance. The Expedition has something like a 3.31 axel ratio. Hardly a 0-60, pin you in the seat gearing. I can google info off the internet and claim to be expert, but have nothing to prove.

I used my experience with tuning my Edge from LMS in talking about LMS doing what they say in response to Jeff's post. You replied to that post where I CLEARLY mentioned Edge Sport and my 2.7EB motor in it. YOU said in your reply it could not beat an Escalade. YOU did not compare the Expy to the Escalade. Now, do we want to do that? We can...but why. Escalade is an over priced status symbol. Want the same for cheaper, buy a Yukon Denali. If the 3.5TT is just about MPG, then why does it beat the 5.0 in the F150 for every stat, including 0-60 and towing capacity?

Let's wait and see what the lighter 2018 with the second gen 3.5TT puts down. Probably will have GM sweating a bit with their big 6.2...

With that said, the 6.2 sounds GREAT, and is a strong motor.

Ford de-tuned the f-150, 5.0 V8 , so it could run 87 octane pump gas. It puts out a respectable 375hp/390tq, no premium needed. The 5.0 in the Mustang needs premium 91 or higher and is now around 420hp.

WHAT? Are you seriously using this argument to justify the lack of power, acceleration, and towing? Yet in this thread and others you crack on the 3.5TT and needing 93 to make maximum power? It is all the same. All motors will make more power with higher Octane if they are tuned for it. I would actually guess even the 5.0 in the 150 stock picks up a few HP with 93, especially at higher ambient temperatures.

If you want to use the, "but this Motor makes more power in other applications", we can use the 2nd gen 3.5TT in the Raptor vs the Regular 150. Same exact thing. Done!

NG, So sorry for the thread jack.

What a joke! should not even be in this forum, driving a Edge.

You really do have reading Comphrehension issues! I own TWO Fords currently. A 2016 Edge Sport and a 2017 Expedition EL Limited 4x4. Before I have owned MANY other Fords and VW TDI's. Lot's of experience with Diesels and Turbo's.

I currently drive the Edge most of the time, and the wife the Expy.

rjpglp7, you have been part of this forum long enough to know that the members are experienced Ford enthusiasts who like to share life and stories about their Expeditions. It is a joy in life to cajole and rattle antlers every so often. But it is great sport to watch some members keep getting up for more:Stupid Me:!! Keep it up!! I have much more popcorn!!

LokiWolk, does not drive a Expedition. Why post over and over, go to a Edge or a VW tdi(he is a expert on these to). forum. Lokiwolf is posting nonsense about 0-60 times for a Edge Sport? Who cares. It is disrespectful to serious members. His wife drives a 2017 Expedition, would be the other way around, in my house.

Haha! She loves her Ex. Had a 2015 until it was totaled, before that she drove a lifted 2006 F250 PSD.

I know! I was out of country for 3 weeks this spring and my wife drove my Expy. She loved it and mentioned she would love to get one. She drives a 2015 Toyota Venza Limited which is nice, but can't beat the Expy in comfort and ride.

Surprisingly my Wife lets me drive the Expedition I pay for pretty regularly...Like the 200+ miles I put on it today.

So using your logic, you shouldn't be posting in the thread, or area of the forums, because you don't own a 3rd Gen.

I made reference about LMS tuning using my ACTUAL experience with my other EB motor. You are the one who lacked the reading comprehension skills to realize I was talking about my Edge, and made an incorrect statement about capability.

I drive the smaller, faster, better MPG vehicle daily because I have a MUCH longer drive. I also don't routinely carry around a troop of Girl Scouts like she does...

I planned on buying new in 2015.I did plenty of research, talked to F150 owners and got feedback from salesman. I found most leasers do not care about the engine. 65% of F150's sold have the 3.5ltt. 700,000 on the road. It is $2,395 more than 5.0l. Salesman say customers have a concern/distrust of Eco-boost. It is #1 issue with trucks. Ford's use of rebates, is what has helped sales on the EB. Expedition are not selling well. The dealer had no flyers to give out and only one Platinum model on lot $75K(wow!). Owners with problems, have had big problems. Bad motors, turbos, Timing chain issue, carbon/sputtering issue, white smoke and rough idle. Many that like/love it, are not seeing fuel savings and complain. Sales of extended warranty have gone up, for Ford trucks and resale down.
