Hey everyone, so having a unlocking problem on the driver door only. Obvious I can unlock it manually. I have pulled the door regulator out and tried the tinfoil fix. Nothing has changed. I manually ran the motor with a 12v source and works fine in both directions. I am getting power to the regulator plug but unlock seems to have less voltage???? Any suggestions on relays or what not. Fuses seem to be in good shape.

Thanks

The actuator won't unlock even with the linkage removed. Randomly it unlocked 1 time today, so it may be a short in the wire. Going to run down wires.

Did you ever find the cause of your problem? Mine is doing the same thing, just outside of warranty. I looked up some diagrams and it shows the driver door unlock relay is seperate from other doors and is built in the BCM (body control module). I know this is an old post but hooefully you will get a notification and reply back. Thanks.

I have a 2015 Expediton Limited 4x4.

Why would you remove the window regulator to repair the lock mechanism? Did you mean the door lock actuator and not the regulator? Also - what is the "tinfoil fix"?
