Rockauto does list a couple different replacement spring options- but I don't think any will lift, they just offer more carrying capacity.

I finally got a few things done

inspection and emissions
zip tied the throttle cable it feels like new now
gear selector indicator was way off so I took the dash apart and the clip was broken so I zip tied it back together seam to be holding. forgot to take a picture after of my handy zip tie action, whistling2.gif




Lift question
Here is where I need some input

Trying to figure out my rear spring spacers height, front center of hub to top of fender right now measures 23" so I can get 1 1/4" more out of them. from level ground to fender i'm at 37" so I will end at 38 1/4" after cranking the keys. On the back I am 35 1/2" from the ground to the fender. I can buy spring spacers 2", 2 1/2" or 3" is this just the math or does the geometry change things so I get something different than what i put in?

Has been slow going but making some headway now.
Spent all day yesterday on the inside finally just power washed the interior I think there must have been 8 kids in and out of this thing candy and spilled juice under ever seat. I really don't like to use that much water on the inside but no choice, everything is in working order now and I just ordered my rear spring spacers.

really haven't done much added 2 1/2" rear spacers and cranked torsion bars to almost max.

got in some trail rides this past weekend and showing off the new pup

Did a night ride I don't do much of this anymore but I miss it.

Have developed a miss that only happens when it's hot guess i'll do plugs and coils to see no codes but I can feel it

I chose the expedition because of the size of my family. Granted it's nothing like the off road vehicle my CJ7 was, but it does just fine on old mine roads in the mountains where I like to camp and the sandy mesa outside my front door. I would highly suggest you re-gear. I have 3.73 Limited slip and I'm pushing it with 37" tires in high gear, but low is no problem. Make sure your axel code is H. If not then it is an open diff. Here is a pick of my truck and a description of what it has at the bottom. A true poorboy's truck :D

No you didn't I just add to one of my old ones

I do have LS rear end but mid gears whatever they are 3.5??? This thing has been great I just went with 285/75r16 Cooper ST MAX things are great in the rocks. don't think I'll go body lift for now pretty happy with what I have but I want to add rock sliders and a winch still.

I really like your ride!
old mine roads are most of what I'm on

Glad it's working out. Like your ride as well....especially because it gets used the way you intended it. I'd be interested to know what winch you go with because I need one myself. Also if you rebuilt the diff and what clutches you went with. Thanks.

I have almost the same setup as you, even with the 3.55 gears and 35's I can get thru most of the trails in my area with no problem.
Low range seems to be great for slow speed crawling with the combination.
Next for next is a warn hidden winch mount and sliders.
It's all about getting out and having a good time.

Are you all running any lifts to fit 35s?
I am going to change to 285/70/17 next tire swap. No lift on my 99 EB 4x4.

I have a supreme suspension kit with torsion keys and spacers, just a little bit of plastic trimming in the front, it only rubs if I have it cranked all the way .
