2005 Expedition radiator support.

I want to drive this truck for another 3-5 years and before I get into the real work of replacing the radiator support i wonder if I can't just rig something up to get me there..

Anyone who wants to weigh in on how bad it is is appreciated!!

I'm not sure. But have seen this in NY. It's can be a death sentence when it's time for a state inspection.

I have a similar problem on a 2003 Expedition EB. I haven't done anything with it yet. There is a video on facebook showing brackets a guy made and had welded in. It's been a couple of years and it's still holding.

It's listed under: How to fix and repair a radiator support mount. Hope it helps.

I would repair it immediately, it's not so much a radiator support as it is a support for the body to the next body bushing about where you feet would be in the truck. So basically from that point to the body bushing in the pic you have no support. Glad I live out west. Good luck

Never mind I just realized what was seeing in the pic. Thought it was the body bushing at first. Still glad I live out west though.

Man I swear that's the body bushing though. Can you take a pic further back so I can see the whole view?

Make up some brackets with angle from the center out to support the ends at the mounts. The support the ends with blocks or more metal. Notched and shaved hockey pucks work well will not look pretty though. By the time you do all the fab and set you may have had enough time to actuall replace it.

The support can be had for at least $120.00 new and delivered they are still available. Labor is around 20 hours (more like a long weekend). Grab a couple of buddies and go to town on friday night.

Still available on amazon, $113 with free shipping. I need to pick one up for my 03 EB before winter.
