Looking to buy my first Expedition, '08 King Ranch 4x4

Been driving my '02 Explorer EB for close to 10 years, only 115,000 on it, but I want more power to pull enclosed trailer.

I found this 08 King Ranch today, 124k miles on it their asking $15k.
Seems like decent mileage on this year, compared to what I have seeing shopping online.
Navigation, 4WD and it has both the trailer plugs out back so I am hoping it has the HD towing package.

I’d say $9-$11k is a good number for an 08 like that. For 15k I’d like it to be an 10’ through 12’.

its hard to say its a "ripoff" all depends on the market you are in

for comparison, in March I bought an 08 EB 4x4 100k miles for $13k in excellent shape

I thought that was high but it was a good deal in my area

check the engine production date to make sure its a later one (10/09/07 was the cutoff) so you get the one piece spark plugs another way to know is look for brown spark plug (COP) boots. If they are black pass on the vehicle unless you are certain they have been changed to one piece

If it has both plugs in the rear then it has the HD towing package. The truck looks nice but that is a lot of money as others have said. If everything checks out offer the guy 9500 and go up in 500 to 750 increments.

Also check the radiator support and the rocker panels for rust. The rockers rot from the inside out. I would put it up on a lift to get the best view. Good luck

Not sure who this reply was to but congratulations on your truck! Prices vary by market, where I live they are cheaper. It’s all location. In New York every vehicle has road salt damage after its a few years in doesn’t scare us a bit up here. When you need new panels you either replace them or move on.

Negotiate the price to as low as you can, don' buy that same day you negotiate go home and sleep on see how you feel about it and go from there, there' no such thing as an over priced car it' just how much are you willing to spend on it.
