Got my build date

My Navigator was ordered 8-29-17 and built 12-22-17, delivery at the moment is Jan 2nd through 8th. Keep in mind the plant is in Kentucky, my delivery is to the Atlanta area so not too far. I’ll keep you posted.

We ordered ours the first week of September and it was delivered last week. Took about 3 weeks to go from in order processing to delivered.

I guess the car gods looked down on us with delight. Sorry to hear yours is taking so long. I have heard horror stories where vehicles sit in a giant lot overlooked because paperwork wasn't processed properly.

I think getting a quick delivery is a little luck and a little location. Not being able to track the cars build process and shipping location like a UPS package adds to the stress. I’ll watch a $100 package like a hawk all while having a guaranteed delivery date but my $80k package could be anywhere and I have a week long potential delivery date and that’s just an estimate at best as well.

The car is awesome. I'm still below 80 miles, so I don't feel I can give it a full review yet, but it is a smooth, quite ride. It almost feels more like a boat than a car the way it feels like you are "floating" over the road. I got the L and it is BIG. I didnt realize how big it looked when I was picking it up at the dealer, but once I approached it from the side when I was leaving work, I could tell how long it really is. However, it doesn't feel big when driving it. The only time I have been concerned with the size is when I go to park and I've found I'm being more conservative/cautious about the size than needed.

The interior is amazing. I was concerned about some comments in reviews about the materials used in trims below Black Label being somewhat "cheaper" and the only pictures or in-person vehicles had been Black Labels until I got mine. I can say that the Reserve is still really nice. I love the 30way seats, it feels like the car is hugging you the whole time and the "massage" is a nice bonus. The ventilated seats are really well done. I've been in cars that have them but you can hear them more than feel them. These you can feel for sure.

I haven't played much with the rear entertainment system yet. I did a quick test of using Miracast to cast a movie from my phone to the screens and that worked. I need to figure how the car handles the audio for that though. I got the upgraded Revel Ultima system and it is awesome. It may be a bit louder on the highs, so I am still tweaking it to find a balance to my tastes.

I couldn't be happier. It was well worth the wait. We have our first kid due in less than 2 weeks, and the car seems to have every feature you can imagine for kids. We got the 2nd row bench, and all 3 seats in the row have the Latch system. The middle row can also be moved closer to the front seats independently of the 2 outer seats. I didn't know it had that feature until I read the official brochure that came out like 3 weeks ago. Also, having both the 2nd and 3rd seats fold flat using the controls in the trunk is awesome. I'm sure it is exaggerated because I have the L, but when both rows are folded down, the cargo space looks huge. I have 2 big dogs so this (plus the first of a few kids) is why I wanted the L to begin with.

So you’ve had the Navigator for a few weeks now. Any follow up thoughts, complaints, praise? Mine is due for delivery next week so I’m looking for anything to watch for or ask about when I go to pick it up.

Is that the same Magnetic Grey available for Expy? It looks so much better in your pics than on the web. I was going for Ingot Silver until I saw yours. My X5 is Mineral Silver which is a great Silver too. These types of colors show dirt/pollen and stuff much less. People always say how goo car looks, I tell them let me show you after I wash it, it hasn't been washed in a month!

You did, its a nice color, but is/was available on practically every F/L made the past few years. Mustang, Fusion, F150 thru F750, Taurus, CMAX, Focus, Transit, Explorer, Flex, Fiesta, Escape, Edge, Econoline, MKC, MKS, MKX, MKZ, Conti.

can you track prior to the build date? i am not getting anything on the COTUS site. was hoping to at least see the build date confirmed.

If you try to track it through COTUS it should say processing. My hubby said ours was in processing for what seemed like forever. So he contacted our dealer who changed the order code from customer order to dealer ordered and that started our process up immediately. The GM at our store thought it was due to Ford wanting to have Expeditions on showrooms first. We were just lucky that the GM wanted to get ours ordered- just a perk of working for the group.
