I converted my 2010 Expedition rear suspension to coils. I am now trying to disable the "check air suspension" message permanently. While I know there's an option in settings to turn it off, when it's "off" there is still a message that says Air Suspension Off, so you end up having to reset to clear the message when you turn the car on regardless, which is equally annoying.

I saw through threads in previous generations Expeditions that there was a green wire you could cut and disable the message entirely, which is what I'm trying to do. I have searched threads for a posted solution but was unsuccessful. If you could route me to a thread that shows the correct wire, or know the answer, I'd appreciate it.

I'm not sure about a wire but there are some Air Bag Delete kits that have a component that feeds back and makes the system think everything is fine. Maybe you can research that and buy just that component.

The only company that sells a module is Arnott but you have to buy it with their replacement struts, they won't sell the module by itself. The module fools the computer by telling it the the air suspension is working properly, so I don't think just cutting a wire will work.

Unfortunately it's monitored on the canbus network amd Arnott won't sell their bypass alone. Ive called them multiple time about it and no go. I am thinking it could be disabled with Forscan but I wouldn't even know where to begin to get that done.

I bought a conversion kit from Suncore about a year ago. Not sorry I converted, considering the price of fixing the air system, but the ride is much stiffer.. Suncore sold an electronic module to fix the warning message for about $80, as I recall. I elected not to buy. Turned off the system, but get the "system turned off" message on every startup. You can clear the message, but it is annoying. I suspect they will sell the module alone.

Resurrecting this old thread because it is the only place on the net that I can find anything about this. I need to switch to rear coils to accommodate my leveling spacers and want to cover my bases before I get started. Has anyone ever resolved this issue?

I have a 2010 King Ranch 4x4

You're in luck. You need forscan but this will turn off the notice in the message center. This is from a YouTube video about installing monroe conversion.

THANK YOU!!!

This is great news. Can you post a link to the video? Where do I get the Forscan?

What do I need for the conversion, can I just replace the airbags w/ coils and keep the factory shocks?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. I'm pretty excited to get the truck sorted out the way I like it.

Thanks again.

Forscan is a free download but you need one of the supported obd2 scanners and a windows based laptop/tablet.

I use the one pictured below but there are other cheaper models available, I just didn't know which ones.

Once you get the adapter and forscan running you apply for an extended license through the forscan website.

Forscan will then allow you to edit the original programming on the truck.

The download can be found here http://forscan.org/forum/

but the forum isn't very active so I suggest you checkout the forscan section on expeditionform.

Perfect, thanks. I can handle that. Will this also make the adjustments for tire size/ speedometer calibration or do I still need a hypertech maxenergy 2.0 type programmer tool for that?
