If your talkin durango srt, this is true, but not the reg 5.7l. The fx4 beat the durango hemi to 60. The plat are faster to 60 still. I like the durango but i like mines more.

Whats the difference btw a supercar and an exotic car. Regardless, the praise fpr the new gt has been overwhelming.

Ford is a little lost in terms of business model and personality and i will agree in that they want the expy and navi to be success ful but didnt put in enough of the effort to do so but thats half the consumers fault as well. Regardless of design, powertrain, or first yr bugs, we can all agree The expy with minimal done is still one if not the best balance if everything u want in a car truck or minivan lol.

Guy you're a trip.

We're talking about use of BLACK as an accent in regards to the Durango.

But now you bring it up, from a performance standpoint my old 2015 RT AWD Durango would destroy an expedition even with the Durango fully loaded. And both are "technically" 7 seaters minimum.

Back to the GT.....

Like I said, the GT is smoke and mirrors....

Let's let the real track times speak for themselves.

Reality is the best supercars on the market are proved in the ring, and Ford has yet to step up to the plate. Underpowered and overhyped.

Think again. Platinum Expedition will take that Durango every time!!! And the Durango leans more to the mid size than the FULL size Yukon, expedition. That’s a fact jack.

As far as the Ford GT your miseducation is as astounding as most of the other stupid shit you post!!! They freaking won Lemans and are top contenders in the series. Because they haven’t run the ring that discredits their actual accomplishment? You are a tool!

LOL, a Platinum expy doesn’t stand a chance against a Durango SRT let alone the 6.4L. Your off your rocker if you think so. The Explorer Sport can’t even beat it.

You’re original comment was about red as an accent, not black. Unless I’m confused and you’re referring to something other than the red stitching now, apologies if so.
Also, Ford has already been to the ring: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/amp22787431/ford-gt-nurburgring-testing/

No official lap times yet but I’m sure this will happen.

Just load an E30 tune in your EXPY & then it will be no contest
Will blow the doors off any of SUV the Dodges
Exception might be those equipped with the HELLCAT engine but I think even that will be close

Easily one of the most enjoyable family cars we ever had. We considered the SRT Durango, but with it not being boosted I opted not to. If the release a Red eye version of it at 800hp, absolutely getting one.

This isnt true, the motortrend comparison test clearly showed this. The rt durango is tested avg at 6.7 0 to 60, the 3.5l is tested at 5.7 to 6.4 0 to 60. The rt used the 5.7l hemi and though is a good engine is still antiquated. The 6.4l handily beats the expy though.

I would hope so! Now throw a supercharger and e85 in the Durango and it's running low 11s.

I was being sarcastic when talking about suing for the stitching. The black comparison is something totally different. That has to do with the use of accents on the exterior.

The ring is for bragging rights. It's my opinion they haven't posted times as result of undesirable laps. The likes of the SVJ and GT3 both being production units boast superior performance and they proudly market it.

Blackscreen you make a good point, and I agree ford is in an identity crisis. Sales are low, Stock is low, and they can’t decide what tier they are on. Look at the 12th gen F-150 and Fords own confusion. 3.5 EcoBoost was marketed heavily and placed as the top engine. However if you pull a ford brochure the 6.2L V8 is listed as the top engine? The 6.2L V8 also was an upgrade over the ecoboost if you ever went to order that truck. Then the 6.2L was the only engine available in the top tier truck (Raptor and Lariat Limited).......so how is the ecoboost the top engine? It isn’t. Ford was so confused they couldn’t even decide where to go.

And on the next level now their pricing is on par with more luxury vehicle brands. Do they want to compete with domestic or luxury import? Next the pricing seems a bit too high, Lincoln is supposed to be the top end of the line and is completing with other luxury brands.

One of the things that I feel Ford has done well i
Not the SRT, he didn’t say SRT.

The video he posted was an RT.

Factory AWD RT runs a low 13.

When your racing 0-60 doesn’t mean much. What about 0-80 or 0-100? The EcoBoost doesn’t have much top end, once you start to rev out and shift through gears it doesn’t pull as hard as a V8 like the Tahoe RST or Durango. Unless you do like Mike Wolfe and tune it out, then you can iron out a lot of the top end power loss.

Glad you showed a post where the Viper ACR and Chevy ZR1 bested it by more than 2 secs each lol. Those are only $300k less than the GT lol, so cute!

Like I said, bragging rights are earned at the Ring. Fords ran it, but even observers stated Ford seemed deterred by results.

Dude, holy crap man read the shit people are putting out there for you!!!!!! The first paragraph state s two days after the C/D driver lapped it. Fords driver bested EVERY TIME PUT DOWN. It is the fastest vehicle to lap VIR!!!!! You are a clown bro! It’s ok there are some on every forum.

First effing paragraph!!!

Update: It's official, the Ford GT is the new king. Just a few days after Car and Driver's 2:43.0 Lightning Lap time, a second go of the track with Ford racing driver Billy Johnson behind the wheel saw the GT record a lap time of 2:38.62, making it the fastest car ever around the track.”

You are the worst type of person to discuss/argue with. Picking and choosing what facts you want to use to help your cause. This article is flat out proof that it contends with some of the worlds most incredible cars. For you to say any different makes you look ignorant!!
