learned something new today. I have the Goodyear Fortera tires on my expy and the truck was pulling pretty bad to the left. I had an alignment done about 7k miles ago and the tires have about 12k on them. The truck didn't pull left until I had the tires rotated last week. I took it back in today and they rotated the left front with the right front tire and it tracks straight as an arrow. I was always under the assumption you couldn't cross rotate tires, but they told me that was a myth. Any one else heard of this?

YES! just look at most owners manuals. Ford recommends on most of its cars and truck to do this. You bring the rear tires straight foward and reversre the fronts on the back. I.E. ..LR to LF, RR to RF, RF to LR, LF to RR. I have done this for years! It was very important on the old f150. It made the tires on the twin I-beam wear much more evenly.

Most recommend a five tire rotation, but who has an exact match rim under their rig anymore.

Maybe this helps. I know if I'm like most peple, they don't read their owners manual. But there is some useful info. My wife has had her exploder for almost 6 years, and I finally read the manual last week (had surgery and bored out of my mind!) and found out some neat features on her JBL audio system.

That the way I have always rotated my tires and I have always gotten great wear out of them. Keep in mind that you have to request that they be rotated this way. If not, the standard is from front to rear and vise versa.
