Hi

does anybody have 34in wheels on his car? Currently 32in with 22in rims from factory. Thinking of going down to 20in rims with 275/65R20 tires...

good questions, my mother tongue is German, so not sure ;-)

Tires are same like the rubber, no?
Wheels is complete kit of rims and rubber?
Rims is the inner metal part?

So when I said 34" wheels, I meant the whole set, however, its kind of the same like the rubber, just that you can't mount a rubber alone on a car ;-)

make sense?

I’m gonna just guess here

You have 22” wheels and 32” tires.

And you want to know if anyone is running 20” wheels with a 34” (275/65/20) tire.

Height wise, 34” might just barely clear without any rubbing or trimming. If you stay below 11.50” wide, you should be fine. However, that size tire may require a lift kit like Readylift 3/2.

My opinion, if you want a larger tire I would put a Readylift 3/2 kit on it and 33/12.50/20s. Younwill still get factory feel for handling and it will definitely make your Ex stand out from others. Not sure what color you have but black looks best to me
This is with the 3/2 lift and 35/12.50/20 WHICH WILL REQUIRE A MORE NEGATIVE OFFSET WHEEL AND TRIMMING

thanks much

your signature says 2016, but this looks like a 2018/19....

While I am new at the game, I was told that lift does not really factor into wheel fit, as eventually, the larger wheel will be moved up (over a bump or so)....

but your 35s look rad

Lol. I’m a 2016 owner, just wanted to show you a pic I found of a 2018.

This is mine

Yes, the taller and wider the tire the less clearance you have when the suspension is fully compressed or sagging. I don’t do any crazy off-road stuff so I’ve never had that issue. Regular bumps in the road or parking lots won’t cause contact unless you plow over them hauling ass.

How is your 5 Star tune treating you?
Man I love it, im on 5th revision and plan to send another in once the summer fuel blend comes back here in VA. These trucks really had a lot of power left behind. 100 rwhp and tq gains over factory

I know that we are not out racing our SUV's, but where do you see the additional power? Towing, or just regular driving? Thanks...

Daily driving, I don’t tow. Boost moved from 12psi to 22, they mess a lot with timing, knock, spark advance to name a few. You should check em out

Can the paper filter and injectors support that much boost. Given that we already have a problem with oil blowback, that seems like a fierce amount of boost without building the motor.

My 15 platinum actually has a bit more go juice than needed already. Im assuming my puter is stock but at 3 tons it launches better than my 03 Marauder did stock possibly due to better tranny gearing.

I’ve got the K&n CAI on mine, seems to be doing just fine. 22 psi is at WOT so it’s not like it’s at 22 every time I accelerate. Usually in the low double digits normal acceleration. 5 star customized several (around 30-40) PIDs for their tunes and everything is within safe limits and standards

Considering the motor internals are forged or aluminum there is plenty of strength in there for the added boost.

16plati what tuner are you using for your tunes? If I am reading their site correctly Looks like 5star uses the Derive software allowing for SCT and BullyDog.

Tht is correct, I have an X4. Gotnit from a local speed shop and got two tunes for $65 during 5 stars holiday special in December last year

295/70r18 (just over 34"). Readylift 3/2, trimmed about 1/4" off the front running boards and had to use some zip ties to pull back the felt in the wheel well up front.
