Is there a way to turn off the 4 wheel buttons by the mode button. Keep hitting them and engaging the automatic 4 wheel drive? Was going to leave in 2 wheel drive or is there no harm?

No harm in 4A, but maybe a little hit on MPG. I don't think you can turn them off, but I think it reverts to 2 wheel when you re-start.

Thankfully whoever designed the 15-17s wasn’t on drugs and put the 4WD selector on the dashboard

I'm actually glad mines not on the dash, because every time I put it into sport mode, it goes into 4A on its own, so I click that BS off right away.

That is what I thought. But it is the wife's car and she would never notice anything.... she has 800 miles on it and she asked me yesterday, "where do you see how much gas is left...?" There is a reason I take her car every week to fill it up. And no, she isn't a blonde...actually very smart.. just not where cars and computers are involved.

I think if you put it in eco, it would stay in 2WD, but not sure. If I put it in 4 Auto, mine stays in 4 Auto (at least in "normal").

You can adjust (increase) the fuel low warning system from the default 50 miles remaining. I just tested the accuracy of my 2018 and it is spot on. It said I had 16 miles left and the 28.3 gallon tank took 28.0 gallons topped off.

Correct. Even though the drive mode defaults to "normal" on startup, the 2wd/4A remains where it was at shut off. For instance, if you are driving and select "Sport" mode, the vehicle will switch to 4A; when you shut the vehicle off and restart, it will be in "normal" mode but still be in 4A.
