Is there a way to turn off the 4 wheel buttons by the mode button. Keep hitting them and engaging the automatic 4 wheel drive? Was going to leave in 2 wheel drive or is there no harm?

Nope...this is one thing that's sticky. Unless you change the drive modes, i.e. sport, eco, etc, it will stay wherever you left it.I think it reverts to 2 wheel when you re-start

That is what I thought. But it is the wife's car and she would never notice anything.... she has 800 miles on it and she asked me yesterday, "where do you see how much gas is left...?" There is a reason I take her car every week to fill it up. And no, she isn't a blonde...actually very smart.. just not where cars and computers are involved.
