That diesel would sure make this a lazy ride! Good milage, but fun factor would sure suffer.

That 3.0 diesel is SLOW, I drove one and it felt underpowered compared to my 5.4L....there’s no giddyup whatsoever but good on fuel. Surprised being a turbo diesel it is so lethargic.

Yeah, I stopped by dealer the other day and asked how many diesel f150s they’ve sold since they came out. The number was 2, ppl are not impressed

All the guys that bought the Diesel F150's thought they were getting hopped up Diesels like the 3/4's got that are stupid fast and instead they got a turtle with good torque. The numbers are rated very low, so just looking at the numbers its obvious they will be lazy. I've got a Duramax that's tuned up to around 600HP and 1000 ft lbs and its really a fun ride!

Must have been someone who wanted one so they ordered badging and maybe leather inserts. It’s a bit of a shame the King Ranch line at Ford is being chipped away at....same happened to the Eddie Bauer trim. It’s cheaper to not pay the licensing fees I guess.

The KR is fun and has more personality than the limited and platinum imo. I’ve always liked it for the western theme. I enjoy the two tone exterior on the Eddie Bauer’s and King Ranch’s vs the all too common monochromatic theme.

In the ford world, platinum (and limited in the F-150) slots above king ranch...but just barely. Think of platinum as the nicest city version and king ranch as the nicest country version. Platinum is going to have bigger wheels and be more “slick” looking. King ranch is going to have more sidewall and look more rugged.

But any way you slice it, you can’t beat the KR leather. I just don’t like the two tone paint and all the interior KR badging. Personal preference only.

Yeah, I totally see the appeal of getting the KR. If there was one option I would get, it's leather. And not the cheap leather trimmed ********, but proper sink your ********** and relax leather.

The only memory I have of the Eddie Bauer trim is when my grandfather rented an EB Expedition 15 or so years ago and took his wife, my brother, and me road tripping. That was THE shit. I remember seeing the badge and going "huh, I have a shirt with the same brand, cool!" - only Fords I knew about then were Mustangs.

Just traded a 2015 KR for a 19 Limited. Both 4WD. KR definitely higher quality leather, but that’s it besides two tone exterior. This Limited has more features—heated steering wheel, auto fold second seat, apple car play, more (better?) drive assist sensors + others that I’m still trying to figure out for just about the same sticker 4 years later.

But those KR badges/wheels etc do mean something here in Texas!

I know this is an old thread, I'm new here so going through all the old threads to learn about my '19 Limited that is on its way, but I'm positive when I was sitting with the manager at the dealership and we were figuring if I should get the 2019 or order a 2020, we were looking through all the order options and I'm sure I saw a King Ranch option. This may be old news, as I said, just reading through all the older posts.

You did see that option. It was announced a couple weeks back.
