Curious. Never really worried because my trucks/cars were always parked in the garage at night, and other than that, public places. However, now this truck is too large to park in the garage so it's going to sit outside. Curious if anyone has used them; I know that they're easily defeated and that an experienced thief can defeat them. Curious what others think about them.....

Past couple vehicles came with them from the factory. I just keep the key in the glove box. Maybe it would deter a thief enough to go on to the next vehicle without locks.

This. It will absolutely not stop a determined thief, but as a cop buddy of mine says: one of your best defenses against criminals is anything that makes you a less convenient target.

Just make sure you're comfortable changing the tire with the lock nut in the mix. I had a set of lock nuts on a Toyota pickup once and couldn't get the lock loose since the key socket kept slipping off. Had to call a tow truck, when I could have easily changed the tire otherwise. Lugs nuts on the Expy are torqued to 150 ft-lbs, so I'd personally have no interest in the locking lug nuts.

I had a buddy that had the high dollar American Force custom cut wheels on his Chevy. Close to $7K in huge wheels. Of course he has wheel locks and when someone went to steal them they couldn’t get them off and took a hammer or maybe a axe to all his wheels and scratched FU in them.

The good thieves (if that's a thing) have all the keys these days. If they really want them they will case the job before they come back to take them. This is why you carry insurance with a low deductible. I had a buddy with some high dollar wheels put several different lock nuts on each wheel and they still got them.

They certainly will get them if they want them but the goal is to make other vehicles more attractive targets.
Sad but true.

Waste of time. Those are great when you can't get them off because the socket keeps slipping and then the shop has to air chisel the locking nut off, so now you are stranded if YOU need to change a wheel and they probably marred up your wheel chiseling that nut off.

The thieves have all the keys, don't think you are a step ahead of them. If they don't have that key, they will the next night and come back.
