What is the biggest tires that someone has put on stock 4x4 2019 or equivalent Expeditions? I want to put some better AT tires on it, but it is my wife's and she doesn't want it lifted or anything. I tried to search to see if anyone put this on the forum, but couldn't find anything, so please be kind if it has been and I am beating a dead horse. If you have pictures, that is an added bonus.

You cant go any wider on the factory 22's without using a spacer. The tire will hit on the front of the upper control arm at full lock. I would love to go bigger but I don't want to mess with spacers.

There are not many sizes available that are taller but not wider.

Are you asking about width or hight?

The two closest sizes that I could find are:

- 305/45 R22
- 33x12.5 R22

However, I did not look at clearances, just size comparisons.

The Nitto Ridge Grapplers were my second choice for my Pilot. I went with Hankook AT-Ms on my Pilot, but hey don't come in 22" sizes. I ike the stock Stealth rims, so I don't really want to swap them out.

What's the source for that? I was wondering what the biggest (tallest) tires I can fit on the stock FX4 18's.

Do you think I could fit 12" wide without rubbing?

I talked to a guy today, and although he said he was not 100% familiar with the Expedition, the F-150 needs a 3" lift to comfortably fit 33x12.5s.

Granted, he probably wanted to sell me a lift, he recommended the 3/2 ReadyLift in order to feel ok about those tires. I'm not sure of anyone who would be willing to put them on my Expedition to "try" them out. I may call around and see who may be willing. I don't want to be out almost $1500 for the tires and they not work because I need another $900 lift kit (parts and installation).

All I know is if you turn your wheels to full lock there is less than a probably 1/4 inch gap between the tire and the UCA.

Here is my driver side at full lock. If I put my finger in the gap it touches both the tire and the UCA and I don't have fat fingers.

What size tires are those? Are they 22 rims or 20s? (Not that it looks like the latter matters).

Also, I. Not sure how a lift would help with the control arm clearance: am I mistaken?

Good point. Can someone tell me the answer how a leveling kit or lift would help with the width of the tire?

Factory 22’s with original factory tires. The only way around is spacers or aftermarket wheels with less of a positive offset to push the wheel out.

See the post by JayTee towards the end of this thread. You can see the photo of his at stock height with spacers. https://www.expeditionforum.com/thr...it-installed-with-ccd-suspension.39855/page-2
